Dr. Scott A. Jones

Dr. Scott joins Elite Barbell after retiring from 20 years in the Air Force and teaching as a professor at the University of Evansville’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program which has a world-wide reputation for injury prevention and sports performance.

“I am inspired by the people I meet every day who overcome barriers.  Whether it’s a person’s desire to cross the finish line, reach the summit, or just be more active with their families, I have an amazing opportunity to help people break free, achieve their goals, and get back to doing what they love.”

Scott is a Creighton University graduate and has an extensive wellness and nutrition background.  He served in the Air Force for over a decade as the director of medical wellness clinics, including orthopedics and general surgery, where he worked closely with health professionals of all levels.  Scott is passionate about guiding you to your next level, regardless of circumstance.

“It’s not enough to help our athletes and overcome injury and be free of pain.  They want to know they are strong, can move well, and can handle life and competition better than before.  This is a whole-person approach. Chasing pain when treating a knee or shoulder joint just isn’t good enough anymore. Rehab is not enough to get people where they want to be.  The end of rehab is where performance starts.”

Scott is a certified orthopedic, dry needling, spinal manipulation, and manual therapist. He is also a practitioner of the Functional Movement Systems, including FMS, SFMA, YBT, and the new FCS for sports performance analysis.

“I am truly excited to hear your story and to assist you in reaching your personal best!”
